Fun fact: Did you know that Jupiter is technically a dwarf planet?
In order for a celestial object to be a planet, it must: 1) have a rocky core, 2) circle a star, 3) have enough gravity to make it round, and 4) have enough gravity to clear it’s orbit. Jupiter follows all of those rules exept the 4th. It’s orbit isn’t clear. It has two groups of asteroids called the Trojans that share the same orbit as Jupiter.
